hair care tips
Before installing
Before installing your bundles, co-wash them with a sulfate-free, moisturizing conditioner (unless coloring immediately–see Coloring). Comb the hair gently with a wide tooth comb, starting from the ends and working your way up. Rinse your bundles thoroughly and squeeze out any excess water. If time permits, allow the hair to air-dry instead of using a blow dryer.
Babe Tip: Avoid using a wet brush or comb to detangle extensions as it may catch or snag them.
Install Tips
We strongly recommend that you have a consultation before any hair is installed and that a professional stylist installs your hair extensions, frontals, closures or wig.
As your own hair grows in, we recommend scheduling maintenance appointments with your stylist approximately every two weeks (depending on the application method) to avoid any excessive tangling or breakage of your own hair.
If you are installing your extensions yourself, sew around the wefts, not through them, to avoid destroying the weft construction. This will prolong the life of your bundles!
Straight & Wavy Textures
When combing your hair, detangle starting from the ends and work your way up to the wefts. Remember to comb GENTLY to avoid shedding. Rub a small amount of a lightweight oil between your palms and distribute throughout the hair before using additional products.
If applying heat, be sure to apply a light heat protectant first. Straight, Body Wave, Loose Wave, and Water Wave patterns straighten very easily, so we suggest never exceeding 350 degrees on your hot tools.

Coloring Your Hair
Like your natural hair, your Vic Hair can be dyed and bleached to any custom color. For best results, we recommend coloring before install. We always recommend that True Glory Hair be colored by a professional stylist.
Note that lightening the hair can cause dryness and shedding.
The Lifespan of Your Hair
The lifespan of your hair extensions will depend on the aftercare. Take care of your extensions by keeping them moisturized with leave-in conditioners, avoiding excessive manipulation, and using protective products like heat protectants. Always exercise gentle care when combing or brushing. Remember, like your own hair, using too much heat or shampooing too frequently can dry out your extensions and cause damage or breakage.
Bedtime Care
Always ensure your hair is dry before bed. Avoid sleeping directly on your extensions – protect your hair with a silk or satin scarf/bonnet or by sleeping on a silk/satin pillowcase. To enhance a curl pattern overnight, use pin curls or flexi rods.
Wigs, Frontals, & Closures
Please avoid bobby pins, clips, scratching, or anything that could puncture or damage the lace. All of our lace products are handmade and each hair is individually tied, so any harsh manipulation will cause excessive shedding. Always gently comb from the ends and work your way up with a wide tooth comb.
We recommend having your frontals, closures, and wigs washed by a professional stylist, but if you shampoo yourself, be sure to massage in one direction only.
Please note, apply both a heat protectant and additional finishing products can result in the hair being weighed down. It’s recommended to use only one or the other depending on your specific hair texture
